Check Bitcoin Address Balance And Transactions

BitRef helps you check the current balance of any Bitcoin address. You can also view any unconfirmed (pending) incoming or outgoing transactions. This is a safe service because it uses only public blockchain data — there’s no need for a login or password.

The tool displays all transactions associated with a specified Bitcoin address. It shows the confirmation status, date, fee rate, BTC amount, and USD value of each transaction. You can get more details about any transaction by clicking on the status icon.

More Than a Wallet Checker

Over the years, the site has evolved into a comprehensive Bitcoin block explorer. In addition to Bitcoin addresses, you can now search for Bitcoin transactions (TxIDs) and Bitcoin blocks (by block hash or block height), allowing you to see all relevant information about a specific Bitcoin transaction or block.

In the search bar, you can look up:

We Respect Your Privacy

We use only our own servers and Bitcoin nodes to provide information on this website. We do not share or transfer any data to third parties. We also do not log or store any of the information you check on the site, including IP addresses.

When you check a Bitcoin address, we extract its scriptHash — and only that reaches our servers. We never see the original Bitcoin address being checked, as it’s not possible to recover it from the scriptHash.

High Lookup Speed Without Caching

We're obsessed with speed. Through our custom-built software and databases, we ensure lightning-fast access to blockchain data. Both the site and the backend API are continuously optimized to deliver results instantly.

We achieve this performance without any caching, so you can be confident the information is always up-to-date. Every time you reload a page, you're seeing the latest data as observed by our Bitcoin nodes.

No Bitcoins Hosted Here

Although it should go without saying, we want to be clear: this site does not host or accept any Bitcoins (except donations). BitRef simply displays public information from the Bitcoin blockchain as seen by our nodes.

Just because you can see your Bitcoins here doesn’t mean your Bitcoins are here! If you’ve been scammed or sent Bitcoins to the wrong address, unfortunately, we cannot help. Please contact your Bitcoin wallet provider for assistance.
