Bitcoin Transaction Accelerator
BitRef offers a Bitcoin transaction acceleration service through its sub-brand, BitAccelerate. This service provides free re-broadcasting of transactions to multiple significant and well-connected Bitcoin nodes. By doing so, your transaction is propagated to the widest possible network of nodes, increasing the likelihood that it will reach miners.
A paid acceleration option is also available, where your transaction is prioritized by one or more mining pools. This guarantees confirmation when the participating miner successfully finds a block. With the paid service, the transaction fee is no longer critical — even transactions with a minimal fee of 1 sat/vB can be confirmed.
Why is My Transaction Stuck and Unconfirmed?
If new blocks are being added to the Bitcoin blockchain and your transaction isn’t included, the most common reason is a low transaction fee. In some cases, there may also be a technical issue preventing your transaction from reaching miners. Our free transaction accelerator solves this by re-broadcasting your transaction to multiple well-connected nodes, improving its visibility.
If your transaction still remains unconfirmed after re-broadcasting, it likely has an insufficient fee for current network conditions. Bitcoin network congestion often occurs, especially during periods of high activity or rapid price increases. Even if your wallet originally selected an appropriate fee, market conditions can quickly change, making that fee no longer competitive.
Using RBF or CPFP to Accelerate the Transaction
If your transaction has a low fee, you may need to take additional action to ensure timely confirmation. The following methods can help:
Replace-By-Fee (RBF)
RBF allows you to replace your original transaction with a new one that offers a higher fee.
Requirements:
- The new transaction must spend the same inputs.
- Your wallet must support RBF (not all wallets do).
Drawback: The transaction ID will change because the original transaction is replaced.
Child-Pays-For-Parent (CPFP)
If you control one of the transaction outputs (meaning you are the recipient), you can create a child transaction with a higher fee. This encourages miners to confirm both the child and the parent transaction together to maximize their fees.
Advantages:
- Works even with older wallets that do not support RBF.
- The original transaction ID remains unchanged.
Limitations:
- Your wallet must support spending unconfirmed outputs.
- You must create and sign a new transaction and typically pay a significantly higher fee.
When Should You Use a Bitcoin Transaction Accelerator? (Out-of-Band Offer)
If your wallet does not support RBF or CPFP, the most reliable option is to use a paid acceleration service that can directly prioritize your transaction in one or more mining pools.
Benefits:
- No need to sign a new transaction.
- The transaction ID remains unchanged, which can be critical for certain types of transactions that require immutability.
Additionally, some transactions cannot be accelerated using RBF or CPFP under any circumstances. For example:
- Bitcoin Lightning Network channel transactions, particularly when opening channels without a change output.
- Channel openings directed to your own node, which cannot have their fees increased via RBF or CPFP.
In such cases, paid transaction acceleration is the only viable solution.
